. Peasemore once had a village school, built in 1850, but it was closed in the 1950s. The old village post office in Hailey Lane closed around 1980 and was converted to a private residence. It still has a mail collection box in its wall, but this is only used to receive private mail now. However, the village is still home to a popular public house, The Fox & Hounds, a well used village hall, a cricket club & a large church dedicated to St Barnabas.

Sport

The village has a cricket team, who were 2009 Brightwalton sixes champions. In 2010 the returned to defend their title but were beaten by West Ilsley in the final.
