Paul Chapman is a British
actor
who made his acting debut back in 1964 in the TV series Curtain of Fear. He was born in Hampstead, London in 1939 and is the brother of British play-write John Chapman
and nephew of actor Edward Chapman
(best known as Mr. Wilfred Grimsdale in Norman Wisdom
's films of the 1950s and 60s)
Since graduating from RADA

Paul Chapman has also appeared in the TV series, Waiting for God, The Helicopter episode as Councillor Ferguson. He has also appeared in the tv series, The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes: The Crooked Man. He played Major Murphy. In 1971 he appeared in Jane Austen's Persuasion, a BBC film. He played Captain Benwick.
He was known in the late 1980s for playing Harwell Mincing, in ITV's children's costume drama Return of the Antelope but in recent years, it is probably Chapman's portrayal of Stephen Johnson in the BBC
