and he started his career with them in 1990, going on to become a versatile player who was used at both ends of the ground. He spent the 1992 season primarily up forward and kicked 37 goals for the year. From then on he played mostly in defence although he ventured forward on occasions, including in Geelong's round five game against Fitzroy in 1995 when he kicked seven goals. After appearing in both the 1994 and 1995 Grand Finals, both losses, he ruptured a patella tendon which forced him into retirement.
