Pat Forde is a sports journalist who currently serves as a national columnist for Yahoo Sports.

Work

Forde is currently a writer for Yahoo Sports. Forde left ESPN on November 1, 2011 to pursue a career with more journalistic freedom. Prior to leaving ESPN, Forde was a staple on radio and television for his college Football and Basketball coverage. Forde's .com column "Forde-Yard-Dash" drew acclaim for its intense focus on college football.

Prior to joining ESPN, Forde worked for 17 years as a journalist for The Louisville Courier-Journal, where his writing won numerous awards.

Besides his columns on ESPN's front page, Forde also writes a weekly "Forde Yard Dash" during the NCAA football regular season, featuring 40 mentions of college football from the previous week, as well as a weekly "Dashette", a female model or celebrity. During the NCAA basketball regular season, Forde writes a column called, "Forde Minutes," following the same premise as his "Forde Yard Dash" column.
