As of November Brittenden has been employed by TVNZ to appear on Breakfast in the lead up to the 2011 NZ Election. His area of interest is the upcoming electoral referendum to coincide with the election. It is unclear how long this weekly position will be for.

It was announced on an internal email recently that Brittenden has resigned his position at Newstalk ZB as of the end of 2011. Brittenden is said to be wanting to pursue some personal business opportunities.
