, since September 2008, students matriculating in the Parsons Paris program have been eligible to receive a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) or Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree from the New School. However, according to the New School Free Press, the contract between Parsons The New School for Design and Parsons Paris expired in 2008 and the former decided not to renew it. At the expiration of the agreement, Parsons notified AFAD that it could not continue to use the Parsons name any longer.
