in 2006. In 2008, she was chosen to be one of the representatives to the World Championship of the Performing Arts.

Early life

Panky Trinidad was born on January 21, 1986 in Cebu City. She also has two siblings left in Cebu. She was a BS Business Administration student and a call center agent prior to joining Pinoy Dream Academy. She was also a band vocalist for two bands.

She was forced by her friends and family to join Pinoy Dream Academy. She loves to sing but never see herself in joining reality search. Panky looks tough but she is actually soft-hearted and very emotional.

Pinoy Dream Academy

Panky was one of the scholars of the first season of Pinoy Dream Academy. She was one of the scholars who made it to the Honor List of 6. During her stint in the reality show, she got the distinction of being the scholar with the most number of Star Scholar recognitions, and the scholar with the least number of nominations, which was only one. She placed fourth during its Grand Dream Night.

Among the many who auditioned in Cebu last 2006, she made it to the final list of scholars. She learned a lot of things inside the academy and she developed her self confidence both as a singer and individual. For a while, Panky chose to concentrate in corporate gigs in Manila and in Cebu. There were issues thrown at her but she chose to keep quiet and put it all behind.

World Championship of Performing Arts

In 2008, Panky was chosen as one of the representatives of the Philippine Team for the World Championship of Performing Arts, where she competed for the senior division. Her awards are as follows:
  • GOLD - Female Vocal R&b/soul/Jazz - 18-24
  • GOLD - Female Vocal Rock - 18-24
  • SILVER - Female Vocal Broadway - 18-24
  • BRONZE - Female Vocal Pop - 18-24

and she was cited as the Champion of the World for the Vocal R&B/Soul/Jazz - 16-24 Category.
