Palomar Medical Center West
PPH has plans to move the acute-care hospital in Escondido from the present location (PMC) to a new 653 bed hospital facility (PMC West) to be constructed in the Escondido Research and Technology Center (ERTC). PMC West is slated to have decentralized nursing stations, healing gardens and green roofs. Cost increases have caused delays in construction.The hospital is projected to open in 2012.
