Page One is an album by Steven Page
. It is his third full-length release outside of Barenaked Ladies
, and both his second album as the featured performer (after The Vanity Project
), and his second album for which he was billed in his own name (after A Singer Must Die
by the Art of Time Ensemble with Steven Page). It is his first solo album of original material since his departure from Barenaked Ladies in February 2009.
Page One includes seven songs composed by Page with longtime collaborator Stephen Duffy
and a pair of songs with first-time collaborator Craig Northey
of The Odds who participated in each of the Barenaked Ladies' first three Ships and Dip cruises (and participated in the fourth in 2011 sans Page). The remaining three songs on the album were composed solely by Page. Similar to the release of A Singer Must Die
, the first 200 CD copies sold on Page's official website would be autographed, and the first 100 vinyl copies would be autographed.
