Pagasae was a coastal city in ancient Magnesia

), now a suburb of the modern city of Volos
. It flourished in the 400s and 300s BC. The only usable harbor in Thessaly
was located on the Gulf of Pagasae, as it was known in antiquity (now the Gulf of Volos). Pagasae was involved in the military campaigns of Philip II of Macedon
