 PCs are used to show the position of individual trains which are assigned a four digit alphanumeric running code known as a Headcode or Train Reporting Code. As the train passes along the track, the position is automatically updated on the terminal. By clicking on an individual entry more detailed information about the train service is available. This includes reasons for late running, departure and destination information. The P2 system has been developed by SchlumbergerSema (now Atos Origin) to replace the older SIVS terminals train mapping system that has been in use since the mid 1980’s.
