Over 60s cricket is a form of cricket
where all players are over 60 years of age. It has slightly modified rules, matches have 40 overs per side and batsmen retire after scoring 40 runs.
The world's first over 60s cricket match took place in Brighton, Victoria

in January 2003. The concept was created by John Hammer
who is a past President of the Victoria Over 60s Cricket Association. Over 60s Cricket commenced in UK in June 2004.
Over 60s cricket is now played in 5 Australian states: NSW, Victoria, Sth Australia, Australian Capital Territory and Tasmania. The 5th Australian Over 60s Championships will be held in Armidale NSW from November 19 - 25, 2011 and include teams from England and New Zealand. Australia will play England in a series of one day Over 60s Test matches in Armidale, Sydney and Melbourne.
