. Established by the passage of Oregon House Bill 2009 by the 75th Oregon Legislative Assembly, the OHA will ultimately oversee most health-related programs of the Oregon government. It is overseen by the nine member Oregon Health Policy Board.

The Health Authority is overseen by Director-designee, Dr. Bruce Goldberg. Dr. Goldberg is the current director of the Department of Human Services.
