(UO) and the credit union partnered to make the Oregon Community Credit Union Scholarship Program, which offered UO students an annual scholarship of $4,800. Any enrolled UO student who graduated from high school in one of the ten Oregon counties in which membership registration for the credit union is available and who had at least a 3.50 GPA was eligible for the scholarship. The offer ended when the UO accepted applications by April 15, 2010.
The credit union offers investing, mortgages, home equity, auto loans and other loans, banking accounts, online banking, and debit and credit card services. It has been hiring, carefully though, despite the recent economic recession.
