The OSF is a long range video system developed during the 90s for the French Rafale combat aircraft.

It has two kinds of sensors: one is an IR detector. It can be used to detect air targets at ranges up to 100 kilometers, surface or sea targets at up to 6 kilometers, or as FLIR (to send a video signal to the pilot).; the other is a 'normal' optical sensor (TV).
