One Yellow Rabbit is an adult-oriented contemporary theatre company based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

One Yellow Rabbit began as a small troupe in 1982 and has grown into one of Canada's best-known theatrical voices at home and abroad. Blending elements such as drama, dance, poetry and monologue, the OYR ensemble has charted a path that is known for its experimental work. While it self-identifies as a performance theatre, its work goes beyond the realm of performance art.

, OYR occupies a state-of-the-art facility called The Big Secret Theatre. The space can be configured as anything from a 200-seat black box performance venue to a larger multi-purpose performance space.
OYR's High Performance Rodeo

OYR challenges conventional theatrical genres in its annual January festival of new and experimental performances, the High Performance Rodeo first hosted in 1987. Participants both local and international have made the The High Performance Rodeo Western Canada's premier showcase for creative new work. The 2011 Rodeo will be OYR's 25th.

Recent and Coming Productions

Recent productions include: Gilgamesh La-Z-Boy, Sylvia Plath Must Not Die and Five Hole: Tales of Hockey erotica. OYR's world premiere of Kawasaki Exit will run January 19-23, January 2010 during the 24th annual High Performance Rodeo in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
