This village is having 74% literacy rate and almost all members of this village had been working in the magnesite companies located around this village. A new colony belonging to the main village was formed on the panchayat road after Anaigoundanpatty but before the salem bangalore and mettur dam railway route. This village is well supplied by mettur water through the municipal water. This village is well supplied with electricity. There is an educational institute developed for Teacher training named as KEVI teacher training institute which is a minority institution (Mainly for islamic people) but other religious members are also provided with educational opportunity but under payment category. It has its own postal office with a post master heading the same. This village is having many temples of which the most famous is the Saminaickenpatty Kannanur Mariamman temple. Once in a year a grand festival is celebrated with goat and hen sacrifice for the temple. The celebrate this festival by inviting their friends and relatives from salem town and neigbouring villages. The temple cart is taken around the streets of Saminaickenpatty for people prayer. during the 3rd day, local youths conduct stage programmes with drama, debates and short cinemas. Prominent memebrs of this village contribute liquid cash for this celebration. This village has produced Engineers, Doctors and Business administration graduates. The first Doctor from this Village was from a Middle class family having educated in one of the best catholic school "Holy cross matriculation Higher secondary school" located at Ammapet, Salem. This candidate was successful through the Tamilnadu state professional competitive examination and did his bachelor medical degree from the most famous institue "Madras Medical College" located at Chennai, Tamilnadu. He further completed his postgraduate degree from the Christian Medical college located at Vellore, Tamilnadu. There are no health care facility available within the village and all the local population visit government hospital in Omalur or Salem. Though many small private outpatient clinics are available, tertiary care level treatment could be acquired only in the Salem city and access to the city is very easy and so health care facility for this village is affordable provided by the State government. There are many secondary care level hospitals, but the expenses are exorbitant. Hence, for such a large population a primary care level health care facility would be a boon for this village. Almost all houses in this village have two wheelers and some have four wheelers for transport. The state government's mini buses are plying between omalur and salem steel plant and salem junction and all these buses ply through this village. There are small scale ash brick industries located opposite to the new colony of Saminaickenpatty village. The speciality of this village is that more than 90% of these villagers are closely related.
