He has a BA(Hons) degree in Corporate Communication. He is married to Linda Black, a model, presenter and author. They have a son born in 2008.

Career

Pettigrew began modelling from 1999, appearing in ads for several lifestyle brands culminating in a year-long Levi's campaign and a role in the film Gen Y Cops.

His original two-week holiday in Singapore led to a career shift for Pettigrew who moved to Singapore to be closer to his work. His television hosting career started with the UN backed environmental show ECO 4 THE WORLD which then led to him being hired as lead anchor for Starhub

's coverage of the FIFA World Cup 2006.

Pettigrew was chosen by the AXN/Animax network to host Cybermax exclusively for the Animax network, a show which covered the World Cyber Games 2005 in Singapore. This effort led him to Technomax for AXN/Animax (2006-2007). He then returned to AXN in 2008-2009 as host for the second and third seasons of the primetime show Sony Style, as well as hosting Explore Middle East for Channel News Asia, Friday Picture House for HBO, Lonely Planet's Lonely Planet: Best in Asia.
