Oleg Atkov

Oleg Yur'yevich At'kov (born May 5, 1949 in Khvorostyanka, Kuybyshev Oblast, USSR) is a Soviet cosmonaut. He is married with one child.

He graduated from the Ivan M. Sechenov First Medical Institute in Moscow in 1973 and received a doctorate of medicine in cardiology from the Academy of Medical Science in 1978. He was selected as a cosmonaut on March 9, 1983. Atkov flew as Doctor Cosmonaut on Soyuz T-10

Atkov retired on October 2, 1984. He then joined the institute of Clinical Cardiology.
