Biography
Mr. Ofer Bavly holds a Bachelor of Arts (International Relations & Middle Eastern Studies) from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. In 1991, he joined the Foreign Ministry and served in Israel's Embassies in Madrid and Rome.
Bavly also holds the rank of Captain in the Israel Defense Forces. In 2005 he was appointed Policy Advisor to the Foreign Minister of Israel. In 2006 he was appointed Counselor in the Foreign Ministry’s North America Division. Mr. Bavly is fluent in Hebrew, English, French, Spanish, Italian and Arabic and speaks basic German. He is married to Ayala and they have 3 children.
