Overview

October 6 University is built on an area larger than 40 acres (161,874.4 m²). It comprises different kinds of academic, administrative and social facilities that cater to and serve 14 different faculties. O6U also has a 360-bed teaching hospital where the faculties of Medicine, Dentistry, Physical Therapy and Applied Medical Sciences are located in addition to a 420-room dormitory which serves males and females separately. October 6 University is one of the first private universities in Egypt and one of two private universities that award a medical degree recognized by the ministry of Health and the Egyptian syndicate of physicians. October 6 University has also been accredited by the WHO (World Health Organization).

According to agreements made between O6U and the local factories, students may receive training inside these factories throughout the academic year or during the summer vacation.
