Oceans Caucus Foundation

The Oceans Caucus Foundation (OCF) is a non-partisan 501(c)(3) educational foundation dedicated to educating U.S. and international policymakers about issues of oceans conservation, and focuses on balancing the needs of marine ecosystems and biodiversity with those of sustainable fishing, commerce, and transportation industries. The foundation supports the members of the House and Senate
Oceans Caucuses as means to specifically address the conservation needs of coastal ecosystems, and to focus on preserving and cultivating the economic value oceans have for communities and the global economy.
The foundation was launched in 2011 out of an initiative of the International Conservation Caucus Foundation
(ICCF) to create a programmatic focus of oceans resource management in its series of educational briefings. Like the ICCF, the Oceans Caucus Foundation will support legislators and their staffs as they discuss policy issues in concert with the American business community and conservation community.

The Oceans Caucus Foundation works with a collaboration of oceans resources-focused corporations and NGOs to develop a timely curriculum on the challenges and solutions to oceans resource management of for policymakers in its U.S. Congressional Briefing Series.
