Capitol Steps

The Capitol Steps are an American political satire group. It has been performing since 1981, and has released approximately thirty albums consisting primarily of song parodies. Originally consisting exclusively of Congressional staffers performing around Washington, D.C., the troupe now primarily...

. It was released in November 2006, after the mid-term Congressional elections, thus several of the jokes on the album were already dated due to the impending control of Congress by the US Democratic Party. Unlike many of the Steps' recent albums, this one was not recorded live in front of an audience. It is the group's first holiday season release since 1993, and their third such release overall.
