North Link

North Link is a northern extension of the Central Link light rail

 line that will connect the University District to Northgate in Seattle. The 4.3-mile light rail extension includes stations in the University District (Brooklyn Station), Roosevelt neighborhood and Northgate. North Link is scheduled to open for service in 2020 or 2021. The project by the Sound Transit 2 (ST2) package approved by voters in November 2008.

University Link

 will continue north to the University District and the Roosevelt neighborhoods before emerging at the surface along I-5 near NE 85th Street to serve the elevated Northgate station.

Sound Transit is preparing to extend mass transit from Northgate to Lynnwood, which voters approved as part of the Sound Transit 2 Plan in 2008, along with funding to continue planning future service all the way to Everett. This project is known as the North Corridor High Capacity Transit (HCT) Project.
