The elevated tracks terminate abruptly beyond the station, but there is sufficient room for a terminating train to leave the station and stop before switching to the other track then entering the station again to begin the journey south.

Transportation links

North Avenue station is a major hub for buses plying the EDSA route. A bus terminal is located near the station. Taxis and jeepneys also stop in and around the bus terminal and the station.

Incidents

An unidentified man was killed November 7, 2007 after bouncing off the station. The man purchased a single-journey train ticket. But instead of proceeding to board one of the coaches, the man jumped to his death. The man died upon arrival at the East Avenue Medical Center after his lower jaw was crushed upon impact.
