Noor Muhammad Maharvi (2 April 1730 - 3 August 1791), born Bahbal Maharvi, was a saint of the Chishti Order
of Sufi Islam who lived during the eighteenth century.
on 2 April 1730, during the month of Ramadan
. It is claimed that he did not eat or drink any thing until sunset. When his grandmother discussed this with Ahmad Fakeer, he claimed that Maharvi was not drinking milk because it was the month of Ramadan, and he was fasting
. He had three brothers and one sister.

and was accompanied by Haarat Mokam ud deen Serani. He was a beggar, and one night he fell in the dark and his clothes became filthy. He asked God
for assistance, and from that day, he received sustenance from an unknown source and ceased begging. He went to Delhi
and completed his education there. In Dehli, he taught up to Qutbi from Mian Barkhurdar Ji.
came off his bed and met Hazrat Noor Muhammad with great love and asked where do you live? Hazrat Noor Muhammad replied that his home town is near Maharsharief and requested Maulana Sahib to teach him, which he agreed to.

. Soon, his place became famous and even the Nawab of Bahawalpur became his Mureed. Around five hundred disciples accompanied him when he went to PakPattan. Hazoor Quibla e Alam had a great love for his Pir. He used to spend six months in Delhi and six months in MaharSharief.

Return to Mahar Sharif

Death
Just after the death of his peer, Hazoor Quibla e Alam, Maharvi became ill, and the disease continued to increase until he died on 3 August 1791. His tomb is in ChistianChistian Tehsil
