 development slate in mid-February 2010 when the network ordered a pilot presentation. Casting announcements were made in March. The first actor cast was Scott Porter, who landed a leading role playing John Virgil. Michaela McManus and Warren Kole joined the cast a few weeks later. Luke Ford and Gabriella Wright completed the main cast at the end of March. The pilot was filmed in Thailand. It was directed by Ken Sanzel, who also wrote the pilot script.
