It is however available for free since version 1.43. Even though further development has stopped since the last release in 2002, it is still fully functional under recent versions of Windows up to Windows 7.

attachments can be viewed with an internal viewer. Article threads are displayed in a tree-like display. Articles can be filtered by defining tagging rules, which combine wildcard expressions applied to the article's size, subject, author, date and filename. Even though the emphasis of Nomad News lies on downloading attachments, it allows also textual viewing of articles and posting of articles and replies including binary attachments as single or multi-part posts.
