. It has a total enrollment of 4,312 students in grades K–12 in 8 schools. The district superintendent is Kevin S. Baughman. Baughman holds the prestigious note of being the second highest school administrator in the State of NY, making over $200,000, nearly double the salary of the Governor. The district primarily serves the Town of Niskayuna, but also covers the Alpaus area of the Town of Glenville and the Rexford area of the Town of Clifton Park, both north of the Mohawk River.

Construction

In 2007, Niskayuna High School as well as other Elementary schools began a district wide construction project to increase the quality of the environment in which students are exposed too.
  • The High School, the biggest of the district projects, added a new Media Center and the extension of C-Hall. Also adding a new Geo-Thermal Heating system in the new areas of the school.
  • Elementary Schools, Glencliff and Rosendale, received much needed new playground equipment and Glencliff had an addition to add more classroom space for the growing enrollment of students.
  • Iroquois Middle School replaced old windows with permanent moisture trapped inside the two panes on of the window.
