Niloufar Talebi

Niloufar Talebi is a writer, award-winning translator and theater artist.
She was born in London to Iranian parents and currently lives in the United States. She received a BA in Comparative Literature from the University of California, Irvine
, and an MFA from the Writing Seminars at Bennington College
.
She is the editor/translator of Belonging: New Poetry by Iranians Around the World (North Atlantic Books, 2008), and the founding director of the Translation Project
.
Her projects include, Four Springs (ODC, 2004); Midnight Approaches (2006), short poetry videos that have screened at festivals internationally; ICARUS/RISE (world premiere, Theatre Artaud, November 15, 2007); The Persian Rite of Spring, (world premiere, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art
