     will only mount original Nikon Nikkor AF-S and AF-I lenses (without modification). Modification needs removal of a small part. Not recommended for use with Nikkor DX lenses although it mounts.

    The compatibility and use vary by type and generation.
    The manual for each converter has details on compatibility.
    For the corrent E series converters: they are designed to be used with the current (professional-grade) AF-S lenses such as 200 2.0 AF-S and longer, exeptions do occur.
