Nicholas 'Nicky' Orr is an Irish
retired hurler
who played as a full-back for the Kilkenny
senior team from 1971 until 1976.
Orr joined the Kilkenny team during the 1971 championship
and became a regular player over subsequent seasons. During that time he won two All-Ireland
winner's medals, three Leinster
winner's medals and one National League
winner's medal. In 1974 Orr captained the team to the All-Ireland title.
At club level Orr is Leinster
medalist with Feniana. In addition to this he has also won five county club championship winners' medals.

. In 1970, he played a key role in helping the club to win its first senior county title. Orr and the Fenians contested a total of eight senior county finals between 1969 and 1978, with victories also coming in 1972, 1973, 1974 and 1977. Orr also won a Leinster

title at the start of the year. His inter-county hurling career came to an end shortly afterwards.
