Calathes was considered as one of the top play-making guards in the nation, he ranked in the top 10 in nine of 13 possible categories during SEC play.He was member of First Team All-SEC player in 2009, he was the only player in the nation to average better than 15.0 points, 5.0 rebounds and 6.0 assists per game. Calathes has broken the UF records for assists and assists per game in each of his first two years, totaling 221 as a freshman (6.1 apg) and 231 (6.4 apg) as a sophomore.Ranked third in UF history in career assists after just two years.The SEC Newcomer of the Year and the SEC co-Freshman of the Year in 2008, Calathes led UF in scoring and assists.Can play point guard, shooting guard or small forward and at 6-6 causes match-up problems.
