Nguyễn Hữu Chánh a Vietnamese-American, born in 1952, in Vietnam
. He is the founder and former Prime Minister of the an anti-communist organization known as The Government of Free Vietnam
(GFVN).
In 1982 he secretly left Vietnam while being pursued by the Vietnamese government for his engagement in weapon smuggling activities, and immigrated to the United States.
