The Editor in Chief (since 2007) is Konstantin Remchukov (Константин Ремчуков). The first editor of the Nezavisimaya Gazeta was Vitalij Tretyakov (Виталий Третьяков). Tatiana Koshkareva (Татьяна Кошкарёва) was the Editor in Chief from 2001 until 2007.
