New Zealand Trade and Enterprise

New Zealand Trade and Enterprise (NZTE) is the government of New Zealand's official economic development agency. It works to stimulate growth, boost export earnings, strengthen regional economies, and deliver economic development assistance to industries and individual businesses. NZTE reports to the Ministry of Economic Development and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.

History

NZTE was first proposed in September 2002 from the merger of Trade New Zealand and Industry New Zealand. It was officially established on 1 July 2003.
