 trials replacing the 'Possibles XV' and in 2009 a New Zealand Barbarians under 85 kg Team toured Australia winning both of their games.

A Middleweight Barbarian side has been selected in 2010 to play four games. The final game being against a N.S.W touring team in a rematch of the previous years final.
