Rotherham United are due to relocate to a new all-seater stadium in Rotherham
town centre, after the chairman Tony Stewart bought the former Guest and Chrimes foundry site. The stadium is planned to be opened in time for the 2012-13 season.
Rotherham United have also now announced that they have acquired the former Gloystarne distribution site next door.

The stadium will be located within walking distance of the railway station and bus interchange and will be easily accessible by car. It will be on the same site as new civic buildings. It is hoped to be completed in 2012.
The design is single tier bowl, with a two tiered mainstand. The concourse areas are located at the back of the stands meaning the concourse will have a full view of the pitch. Underneath the three single tiered stands will be rentable space. The main stand will include hospitality areas and banqueting facilities. The stadium will have floodlights similar to Doncaster Rovers' Keepmoat Stadium.
