History

The team was originally the Staten Island XTreme when they entered the league in 2004 going 3-11. The team was sold during the 2005 season and became the NJ Xtreme to a new ownership group who then folded the team in 2005 after going 0-14. The new owner was Kevin Sisson who fired several coaches and players and did not pay them during the season. It was also learned that the owner never had insurance for the players that got hurt. For the 2005 season, the team went 0-14 in the East Division, and finished with the worst record in the league. The team ceased operations during the 2005 season, with less than 300 paying customers for the final home game without notice to the fans, players and coaches. Needless to say no one was paid for the final two games of the season. Mr. Sisson was later arrested on domestic violence issue (All documented in the Staten Island Advance)and then moved to Florida to hide out from all the people he owed money to.
