The current line-up (since 2006) are due to release a new LP, "Gloria" in May 2009, followed by a European Tour.

1980–1981

The first incarnation of New Christs was formed in 1980. This line up never performed live but they did release one highly collectable single, "Waiting World"/"Face a New God" in 1981.

A new line up of New Christs formed in 1983 to support an Australian tour by Iggy Pop

. Younger decided to keep the band going and they recorded two more singles before breaking up in 1984.

The next lineup formed in 1987. This line up released an album in 89, Distemper, which reached #1 on the Australian Alternative Charts and toured Australia and Europe. They broke up in 1989 but reformed in 1991 to support a Ramones

A new version of New Christs formed in 2006 and has toured Europe twice (2006 and 2008). This line-up is still current and active, with a new LP "Gloria" due for release in May 2009 and a European tour to follow.
