The National Housing Federation (NHF) is the umbrella organisation for social housing providers in the UK.

Function

The National Housing Federation is the voice of affordable housing in England.

It represents the work of housing associations and campaigns for better housing. The Federation's members provide two and a half million homes for more than five million people. And each year they invest in a diverse range of neighbourhood projects that help create strong, vibrant communities.

In 2010, the NHF won its campaign to stop energy companies charging pre-pay meter customers more than quarterly billed customers. .
