in 1978, primarily to serve the financial needs of cooperatives. It was privatized in 1981, but maintains its cooperative character with over 2,600 member-owners.

NCB is dedicated to strengthening communities nationwide through the delivery of banking and financial services, complemented by a special focus on cooperative expansion and economic development.

Primary markets include the basic ingredients of vibrant communities: housing, education, health care, cultural centers, local businesses and social services. In addition, NCB has a growing community banking network in southwestern Ohio.

NCB Capital Impact, formerly known as NCB Development Corporation, is a strategic partner of NCB. NCB Capital Impact is a CDFI that provides financial services and technical assistance to U.S. organizations serving primarily low- to moderate-income communities.
