Geography
Nandigama is located 48 km north of Vijayawada and 46 km east of Kodada. The river Muneru flows in the outer part of the city. The river has agricultural fields on both sides. Nandigama has four seasons; Summer is the longest extending from March to July. Temperatures reach 49 degrees in mid May.Civic administration

The nearest airport is at Gannavaram and takes about 2 hours from there to Nandigama by road. Two flights, one from hyderabad and the other from bangalore run by kingfisher everyday one trip each. Nandigama is present in between Hyderabad and Vijayawada. The NH9 which connects Hyderabad and Vijayawada passes through Nandigama. The city is well connected to Vijaywada. From Hyderabad it is 220 km and Vijayawada is just 50 km away. You can enjoy a 45min ride over four lane road to Vijayawada. Be careful there is a bypass road which avoids the main town if you are traveling during night.Culture

One of the very famous and oldest schools are Zilla Parishat High School (ZPHS); M.G.H.H.School(Mahatma Gandhi Harijana High School), an aided government school located in Nehru Nagar, which was built by Sri.Vemula Kesavarao; two students from this school (Chalamala Maraiah and Thati Himabindu), were selected in IIIT NUZVID, in 2009 batch.
