Background

Municipality Naklo lies at an altitude of 407 m and has a total of 5020 residents. The scope of a municipality comprises 28.3 square kilometers. Municipality Naklo combines three centers with a total of 13 villages namely: Bistrica, Cegelnica, Gobovce, Malo Naklo, Naklo, Okroglo, Podbrezje, Polica, Spodnje Duplje, Strahinj, Zadraga, Zgornje Duplje and Žeje.

Location

Municipality Naklo v Ljubljanjska basin lies in the Kranjska plane and in the middle of Naklo's valley between the two oldest terraces of Sava and Tržiška Bistrica. From both sides it is surrounded by wooded area and Dobrava Udin Borst. In the south and east it borders the municipality of Kranj, on the north by the municipality of Tržiče, in the west and west by the municipality Radovljica. Although Naklo's valley is regarded as narrow, the municipality of Naklo has very good road links. On the margins of Udinboršt passes highway Ljubljana - Jesenice, on the west side of the forest there is road towards Jesenice and Tržič. Both lead us to the border crossings with Italy and Austria.

Economy

The municipality of Naklo in Slovenia is very recognized because of its geographic location. They can visit the forests of Udinboršt and Dobrava, play tennis, enjoy horseback riding, cycling, fishing, or visiting the surrounding mountains in Gorenjska countryside.
