NOAA-B was a failed mission and a destroyed satellite that was launched on May 29, 1980. It became space debris. It was considered a failure because of its very elliptical orbit.
Launch Problems
The rocket had extra thrust worth 50 seconds and with 80% additional thrust. After 375 seconds, it went outside of Earth orbit, but it went out disastrously. The orbit was extremely elliptical, considering the mission a total loss.See also
