The members of Mànran are Norrie MacIver (guitar/vocals), Gary Innes
(accordion), Ewen Henderson
(fiddle/pipes), Calum Stewart (flutes/uilleann pipes), Ross Saunders (bass) and Scott Mackay (drums).
They participated in the Hebridean Celtic Festival
2010 and made an appearance on BBC Alba
during the Ceilidh na Bliadhn' Uire 2010 (Hogmanay Ceilidh 2010) programme.
On the 17th of January the band released their first single "Latha Math
" and were aiming to be the first Gaelic song in the Top 40
for the 21st Century. While the band reached 32 mid-week, they slipped out of the top 40 to Number 61 for the official chart on Sunday the 23rd January 2011. However, they did secure Number 6 in both the UK Indie Chart
and the Scottish Singles Chart.
