History of Muria Village is not known however, it's said somewhere related to Muraina Ghat, some says that it had a palace of Mauryan Dynasty, There are some signs of presence of a Palace near DAH area in Muria, Dah area is surrounded by water from three sides.

The Mokhtars are known to be the oldest family and rest of the other families are related to Mokhtars. Ashraf Hussain Mokhtar was the person who established Muria Shahi Tola and he funded a Big Pond for general public. He also funded Eidgaah and a Masjid.

Nearby Railway Station is Tarsrai which is 300 meters from the Muria Market and a Telephone Exchange is 100 meters from Muria East. NH 57 crosses through right middle of the village towards Sakri and Madhubani. Road to Reach Raiyam, Chhatwan and Loam originates from Muria Taali Gumti.

Muria can be divided into 3 parts, Muria West (Taali Gumti), Muria Bazaar & Muria East.
Muria Bazaar is highly populated area and 80% of population lives in Muria Bazaar.

Muria is a Panchayat and other villages include Thakruniya and Tarsarai.
Muria is served by a famous Public Library named Azad Hind Public Library.
