The Multicolored Mosque was a mosque in China built between 1465 and 1487 during the Ming Emperor Chenghua
's rule. Buddhist temples and Imperial palaces were the basis of construction for the mosque. It was constructed by Muslims living in the Bafang areas of Linxia City in West Phoenix Wood Town. It was destroyed by arson in 1928 and built again in 1941, it was capable of holding 2,000 people being 5 mu in area.
