The Mountain View Alliance (MVA) is a consortium of consortia announced in June 2005 and intended to enable the adoption of commercial off-the-shelf
(COTS) solutions through coordination of marketing activities. The MVA is the creator and sponsor of the MVA Comms Ecosystem Conference.

The goal of these activities is to create a diverse and thriving ecosystem of suppliers of open architecture platforms and components where vendors are focused on adding value.
The mountain view alliance also hosts a consolidated industry calendar which includes all scheduled meetings and events sponsored by its member SIGs as well as events deemed to be of interest to its members

Goals
The goal of the Mountain View Alliance is to accelerate the adoption of platforms and building blocks based on the specifications of member organizations. The goal of the Alliance is to optimize effectiveness of its member organizations through coordinated marketing activities including joint trade show participation, joint meetings, and outreach activities. As the need arises, the Mountain View Alliance will also facilitate multi-faceted co-operation between its member organizations. Through such activities, the Mountain View Alliance aims to promote a diverse and thriving ecosystem of open-specification based components and platforms.The goal of these activities is to create a diverse and thriving ecosystem of suppliers of open architecture platforms and components where vendors are focused on adding value.
Operating model
The MVA operates as an ad-hoc committee with no budget of its own. It produces no specifications of its own and is limited to discussions of publicly disclosed information. All decisions that it makes are non-binding on its member organizations.Sponsored Conferences etc.
To further its goals the Mountain View Alliance is sponsoring the MVA Comms Ecosystem Conference where member organizations meet to share views, participate in round table discussions of industry leaders regarding technology and business trends.The mountain view alliance also hosts a consolidated industry calendar which includes all scheduled meetings and events sponsored by its member SIGs as well as events deemed to be of interest to its members
Apparent termination of operations
