It is currently operated by Alion Science and Technologyhttp://www.alionscience.com for the DoD. The MSIAC functions as a defense modeling and simulation "help desk"http://www.dod-msiac.org/helpdesk.html, providing on call assistance, and maintaining information and documentation of use or interest to the US defense modeling and simulation (M&S) community.
MSIAC services include a DoD-wide calendar of events http://www.dod-msiac.org/calendar.html germane to the DoD M&S community, a monthly newsletter http://www.dod-msiac.org/newsletters.html, and a quarterly journal http://www.dod-msiac.org/journals.html. The MSIAC also operates and maintains the Department of Defense Modeling and Simulation Resource Repository (MSRR)http://www.msrr.dmso.mil, a comprehensive catalog of models, simulations, data sources, tools, and documentation. The MSRR, which is continually updated, includes the largest collection of information on commercial models and related items available today.
